SUTIKKI ANNOUNCES WAVE OF BEST-IN-CLASS LICENSEES FOR LANDMARK NEW BBC SERIES ‘MOON AND ME’
Lead Partners Announced Today Include Redan, Immediate Media, Danilo, Jumbo Games, Amscan, Blueprint Collections and Paper Projects
LOS ANGELES AND LONDON – JUNE 29, 2017 – Sutikki, the kids and family division of Bento Box Entertainment, today announced its first tranche of UK-focused licensing partners for Moon and Me, the new preschool series from Andrew Davenport (Teletubbies, In the Night Garden).
The group of new licensees features many product category leaders, and carries forward the standard set with the announcements of Hasbro and Scholastic as leading global partners for the brand earlier this year.
Today’s announcement includes a standalone Moon and Me magazine from Redan, and branded Moon and Me features in their Fun to Learn titles, as well as a license with Immediate Media which will see Moon and Me feature in their CBeebies-branded magazine titles.
Also announced today are deals with Danilo for calendars, diaries, greeting cards, giftwrap, gift bags and gift tags, and puzzles from Jumbo Games. Amscan will develop party goods, Blueprint Collections has been licensed to create stationery and arts & crafts products, and Paper Projects will create stickers and sticker-related merchandise.
Led out of the recently-opened Sutikki UK office, this first wave of licensees was brought on board by Territory Head for the UK and EMEA Stephen Gould, in conjunction with company co-founder Andrew Kerr.
“I couldn’t be more pleased to announce this fine group of licensees for the
Moon and Me brand,” said Gould. “The response from the licensing trade to the brand has been truly remarkable, and I’m grateful for all of the enthusiasm and faith that this first wave of licensed partners has demonstrated already.”
About Moon and Me
Moon and Me was developed by Davenport, the creator of award-winning global preschool franchises Teletubbies and In the Night Garden. Inspired by well-loved tales of toys that come to life when nobody is looking, Moon and Me is the comical story of a special friendship between two characters from completely different worlds. Moon and Me will combine the latest production methods with traditional storytelling, comedy and music to create a beautifully constructed picture-book world especially for today’s preschoolers. Moon and Me will premiere on BBC’s CBeebies in the UK in 2018. It is being produced by Sutikki and Foundling Bird, with Sutikki overseeing global distribution and merchandise licensing.
Sutikki — Japanese for sticky — is the new kids and family division of Bento Box Entertainment. Founded in 2016 by executives Irene Weibel and Andrew Kerr, Sutikki (www.sutikki.com) creates, produces, distributes and merchandises compelling content built for today’s kids aged 2-11.
